Astounding change is clearly underway with the acceleration of artificial intelligence (AI)—so much so that one could easily become despondent over the displacement it seems to foreshadow.

But upon further reflection, I find myself seeing something else alongside the disruption: real opportunity. Why?

I believe those who spend their lives as active followers of Jesus are already best positioned for what’s coming. From a biblical perspective, even this AI-shaped future is not primarily about building, scaling, or optimizing. It is about abiding (Jn 15:5), being formed (Gal 4:19; 2 Cor 3:18), reaching the lost (Mt 28:19-20), and bearing fruit (Gal 5:22-23).

In fact, in a world where output is increasingly automated, Holy Spirit–produced fruit may become the only truly meaningful output left.

I find that deeply encouraging.

I hope this encourages you to bear fruit in Christ today.
