“Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.” (Isaiah 46:4)
At some point, getting older was no longer fun. Ten was that point for me. I am many times that now. Here is an accurate depiction of my peer group: You sleep with your face crammed into a pillow for enough years and one morning a wrinkle appears on your face and announces back to you from the mirror, “It is now easier to remain the way I am than to keep reforming into my unwrinkled state, just so you know.”
Like I say, aging is no fun. But it does have its good points, which I always make sure to remind my reflection: “I’m closer to Heaven than when I began, just so you know.”
I hope this encourages you to embrace the advantages of aging today.

I needed this today as I noticed the very tiny amount of black left in my beard this morning….good to remember that God will sustain me!!!
Thanks!
Great timing – I turn 67 on Dec 31, a number that feels strange to even type but here I am and I’m more excited today then ever about all God is doing in my life, work, and marriage. “You are never too old to set a new goal or to dream a new dream.” C.S. Lewis
Love that C.S. Lewis quote!
Just so you know, I appreciate you, Kevin, for finding the positive in aging!
