As Christians, we’re designed to live on Holy Spirit time. Too often, though, we live on the world’s time, trying to attend to all our details apart from God. Then we get frustrated when we can’t complete our checklists.

All the while, God paves the way for anything essential and gives us all the room we need, not only to get those things done, but to do them well: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Eph 2:10).

The eloquent preacher Adrian Rogers put it this way: “If I run out of time at the end of the day to accomplish my to-do list, I’ve taken on some things God never asked me to do.” There’s a thought worth attending to.

I hope this encourages you to live on Holy Spirit time today.
