This is paraphrased from Leonard Sweet’s book, I Am a Follower, so I take no credit:

A man was on his way to Morgantown, West Virginia during a snowstorm and decided to stop at a shopping mall just before closing time to pick up some needed supplies. The snow was coming down so hard that the visibility was nearly zero. Fortunately, through the blinding snow, he spotted a snowplow. So he fell in line behind it. Why fight the snow, when a machine can do it for you?

He followed the plow for about 45 minutes, through each and every turn. He could see nothing but the red taillights right in front of him. Suddenly the snow plow stopped, and the driver got out and walked back to the car. “Where are you going? You’ve been following me for almost an hour.” ‘Morgantown,’ the man replied. “Well, you’ll never get there following me. I’m plowing out the mall parking lot.”

In John 10:27, Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” Comforting thought, that.

Who do you follow?
