The greatest Christmas present ever conceived? That’s easy: Jesus was sent to be born in the flesh, to live a sinless life, to die on the cross for our sins, so that we might be saved.
And this morning, as I read Ephesians 2:8-9, I am reminded that you and I can’t do diddly to earn this gift of our salvation; we simply open it by placing our faith in Jesus. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
