God is in the Silence

God is in the silence

I’m excited to be writing my second book!

I’ll be able to share more soon. But for now, in order to have time to complete the task, I will be dialing back my blogging frequency to once a month instead of every week. Even so, I will still continue to be available to serve you through encouragement, prayer, and—as always—to help point you to God. I am thankful and feel blessed for the opportunity to do that.

For me, this season is all about creating space to hear God so I can grow and serve you better. Admittedly, I’ve run ragged morning to night lately trying to accomplish tasks I’ve created for myself. What is worse is that I’ve tried to do much of it in my own strength. You may know the feeling.

Psalm 62:5 says: “My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.”

That’s a timely reminder. Makes one want to slow down, take a deep breath, and listen. God is in the silence, indeed.

Please let me hear from you. How has God spoken to you through the silence lately?

  1. I appreciate the thought Kevin. It’s been a challenging couple of years for me and I’ve been encouraged by your walk with God. I’ve struggled with a couple of botched surgeries that have left me with severe nerve damage in both legs. There have been some pretty dark times and like I said, you’ve been a great source of encouragement. Thanks again!

    1. Good to hear from you, buddy! So sorry to hear about your physical difficulties. Aging is a bear and it sounds like you’ve had your share of it. Know that I’m praying for you my friend!
